Lake Eyre Tour 2026
What a privilege this has been!
Great group
Day/night 1 - Arid Lands lunch-walk lucky for us, it wasn’t raining then onto Rawnsley Park Station and raining! Luckily we got in after travelling through beautiful green Flinders and witnessing lots of road damage and flowing Creeks.
Day 2 - Rawnsley Park to Maree - Leigh Creek for Lunch, lots of running water on road but we got there and couldn’t believe how green everywhere is!
Day 3 - Full day flight over Lake Eyre South- North - 3 deserts that looked like farming lands! The Cooper system -Birdsville for lunch, Diamantina system, Birdsville teach , the barge - all simply astounding.
I was so lucky as I was assigned co pilots seat for the whole day, I’ve never even considered Sitting there but I had the best day ever 🙌🏻
Day 4 - Marree to Quorn - green, green and more green 😲
Let me tell you the cattle will be fat indeed feasting on clover and lucerne in the deserts!!
A great stay at the Great Northern and goodbye to our guests today, they have seen these areas at their very best
