Im lying here thinking about this incredible adventure that we have been having.
It has been an adventure of a lifetime with so many highlights and so many memories we have made.
We started out as 22 souls, some for the first tour, others who had been on 1 tour and some of our regular Ep Bus Family, we have experienced so much in these last 30 days, breathtaking scenery Rivers galore but a stand out the Ord River, The Head of Bight, The Southern Ocean and Bunda Cliffs, The Indian Ocean, Gorges galore Nanngu/Geike, Chamberlain, Nitmiluk/Katherine and still 2 more to come, we have learnt so much about different things from Coral to Lace, History, Pearls, Diamonds, Trucks, Mines, Trees.
We have stayed in so many places and varied accommodations and eaten way too much good food!
5 cruises - Coral Bay, Willie Creek, Nanngu/ Geike Gorge, Ord River, Chamberlain Gorge and Nitmiluk/Katherine, that’s actually 6!!
We have seen shows, dined under trees, had candle lit dinners galore, glamped on 2 occasions - Karajini In the Stunning Pilbara for 2 nights 😍
Then 1 night in Emma Gorge El Questro, simply amazing 😍
Bathed in thermal pools and swam in pools,
Now we are headed for the Alice for more adventures however I want to say how awesome all of these 22 souls are, we have shared so much together, we all look out for one another. This afternoon and tonight they have been saving me work Jo and June have done all of our washing for us, Julie, Pauline and super tech Nancy have been doing the border crossings, they all just started appearing in my inbox (emails). I think we will all be a bit sad to end this adventure but we will return home to see our beloved families with amazing memories and good friends and I’m sure we will all share some more together.
Goodnight all ❀️
Ps 3 States SA, WA , NT approx 10,000 kms done with another approx 2,000kms to go!
Still hoping to see a Camel πŸͺ

Tour update
We farewelled WA and entered the final stage of this epic tour NT!
So we checked into the Contour Hotel Katherine and enjoyed a lovely meal, next morning off to the Outback Experience with Tom Curtain and after being entertained with breaking in horses and training working dogs, we enjoyed a fabulous fresh lunch under the trees.
Next downtown Katherine for an hour, then we got ready for our Sunset Dinner cruise in Nitmiluk - Katherine Gorge, First we cruised up 2 gorges, then on the return a candlelit 3 course dinner - fabulous indeed 😊
Yesterday we started moving south with a leisurely early morning visit to Mataranka Thermal Pool … just lovely, then a stop at Territory Manor for a real coffee, before heading to Daly Waters, once there lunch was enjoyed and an afternoon of swimming or rest or live music in this iconic place. Now we are in Lisa Tennant Creek, tomorrow The Alice for 3 nights.

Today we visited Wyndham WAs most Northern town then we made our way to El Questro via Gibb River Rd, Adventure with a capital A - 2 water crossings on rocksπŸ˜…Lunch in El Questro then a Chamberlain Gorge Cruise which was stunning, we fed the spitting fish, and yes I said spitting. They bought out the child in us, they are small fish that spit at you, up to 4 mtrs, they eye you off and bam next you are hit with a jet of water πŸ˜‚
After our lovely cruise we returned to the Gibb River Rd and travelled the short distance back over both water crossings, to El Questro Emma Gorge glamping tents.(just amazing)
It’s beautiful and as I lay here listening to the sounds of the Kimberley I am once again amazed and thankful πŸ₯°
Today was quite stressful getting us into El Questro but it was worth it, David did an excellent job of driving and is now getting well earned sleep.
I will forever remember this and the whole group feels lucky and grateful.
I think they are amazed also.
Tomorrow we enter the final stage of the Tour - NT stay tunedπŸ€—

Thanks Marlene for keeping us informed. Brings back memories. Keep it coming xx

Great photos ….enjoy seeing your tour

Beautiful Australia , how lucky are we .... from top to bottom ..... beware it’s πŸ₯Ά back home πŸ’š

Brilliant!! Nice to see its warm and dry somewhere in Australia!! Enjoy

Ha Ha. The Spitting fish are "Archer" fish. (Silver and black.) They shoot down insects above the water to get a feed. In the old aquarium days you had to be careful as they would shoot water at the lights if there were insects around them.

The top end of W A is my favorite part of Australia so much to see. Enjoy.

What a great trip you are having loving the photos

Wow we had a great day today, overwhelming for me actually.
Started off with a 2 hour tour, the guide Ann was originally from Port Lincoln, she was great and she showed us the food bowl of the Kimberleys and the Sandalwood plantings. She also took as to Ivanhoe Crossing and we went across much to her delight, and ours!
Next onto Hootchery Rum distillery for a quick stop.
We farewelled Ann and headed off to Lake Argyle Resort for lunch, before joining a 3 hour Triple J Cruise - Australia’s longest day cruise…70kms from Lake Argyle to Lake Kununurra down the Ord River. Words nor photos could do it justice and I found myself completely overwhelmed, Unfortunately David could not join us as he had to pick us up at the other end.
Grant our skipper and guide was brilliant and we were going fast as well as stopping silently… crocodiles, a monitor, sea eagle, many birds, bats, pandanus plants, Kapok trees, reflections, ranges, red….The Kimberley❀️
Tonight my bucket is overflowing, I am grateful and extremely thankful.
For some reason it won’t let me add photos, see next post

What a beautiful, emotive post. Travel is a great gift, something I'm appreciating more and more, given lockdown and isolation. It's lovely to read, how enraptured you are, with your travels. Thanks for sharing βœ…β€πŸ‘Œ
