Kim & David are very professional in what they do. They are a friendly & outgoing couple who go out of their way to make your holiday a very enjoyable experience. I have enjoyed my 2 trips with them this year & look forward to more. I can highly recommend their tours.
Kim & Dave are wonderful hosts & go the extra mile to make sure everyone is looked after very well. Dave is an amazing bus driver & seems to be able to negotiate tight spaces & narrow roadways in such a big bus. Was rewarded at the end of the trip with Mum's homemade biscuits. Thoroughly recommended.
Well, what fantastic charter this was we were looked after like king and queens by Kim and David and their little grandson Kody they took us to Tasmania so full of knowledge our gorgeous Kim was and David sure knew how to drive his coach and little Kody so friendly and always there to offer us water or help at drop of a hat. We would highly recommend this family business to anyone who is looking for relaxing holiday, fantastic food, fantastic accommodations and awesome tours...we will be travelling with these guys again .. so to EP Bus Charters fantastic job and credit to you all 💕Gary and Vicki Anderson
I have travelled with EPBus Charters several times and have always had a great time. David is a great driver, Kim a wonderful hostess and they always have your safety and enjoyment as a priority.
Fantastic holiday. Everyone is friendly and helpful, a great time had by all. Looks like we did a lot of eating. Great food, fantastic accommodation. Excellent tours. Thank you Kim, David and Lilly. Can't wait until August for the next tour. 🙂Queensland Tour
Hi Kim and David (and Kody, of course) When Judy joined me in retirement we had already decided that we weren't going to sit in front of a television with cans of cheap lager all day. No we wanted to travel, to see countries, their cities and their people, their customs, foods, cultures and compare them with our own. We had already travelled in the U.S and Canada, cruised down the east coast of South America (including 1000 miles up the Amazon to Manaus). Anyway, we've been to many and different countries over the past 25 years and experienced coach and bus tours of varying lengths of time and distance both at home and abroad. We are both sure that our 8 day trip with EP Bus Charters was the best so far. The attention to quality in everything, customer topping the list , resulted in an interesting comfortable and exceptionally well organised tour. This resulted in a happy load of customers and combined with an excellent itinerary and your own well developed skills made us feel welcome and cared for at all times. Never have we enjoyed a tour so much, anywhere! So, thats' about it. We would enthusiastically recommend EP Bus Charters as an example of how to run bus tours properly. Thanks again so much for our trip with you and hope we are able to travel with you again. All the best for the future,
Fantastic operators. Very knowledgable and informative. Kim is very kind and helpful. This is the only trip I've been on where I haven't constantly had my purse open, as nearly everything has been included in the tour price, which is very rare. I highly recommend EP Bus Charters and will be touring with them at every opportunity.
Thank you for the photos and a huge THANKYOU TO YOU BOTH and Lilly for being wonderful hosts. I had such a great time, everything was so enjoyable and memorable. From beginning to the end of trip ... Kim, Your "behind the scenes" was awesome and really appreciated ... David you are a wonderful driver and I felt so safe on the bus ... I know that there are many " challenges" with driving especially such a long distance. Your business is a great credit to you both and a great enjoyment for all who share their " lives" with you on tour. Love Kay.
Thank you Kim David and Lilly, for a fantastic Canberra tour. what an awesome time. Can't wait for January and Evita. You made us all welcome and looked after our every need. Thank you all Colleen.
My second trip, a wonderful group, had a great time can't say what was the best all so different,
and amazing. Here's to more trips ahead thanks Kym & David also Lilly.
fully hosted and wonderful tour
DAY 1 | HOME TO HAHNDORF
Welcome to our 9-day South Gippsland Tour. Sit back, relax and catch up with old and new friends as we make our way to the Adelaide Hills. With comfort stops along the way, we arrive at our hotel in Hahndorf in time for dinner. Manna of Hahndorf | 1 night
DAY 2 | HAHNDORF TO MELBOURNE
Eager to explore green valleys and rugged coastlines, we settle into another travel day. Stopping in Horsham for lunch we continue onto Caroline Springs. Here we’ll check in, enjoy dinner and have good night’s rest, for tomorrow the real fun begins. Mercure Caroline Springs | 1 night
DAY 3 | MELBOURNE TO FOSTER
Leaving the hustle and bustle of the “big smoke” behind we head for greener pastures, stopping at Caldermeade Farm & Café for a lovely morning tea and talk about life on the dairy. Then it’s off to Wonthaggi to visit the State Coal Mine. Here some of us may like to journey into the mine with an enthusiastic volunteer, while others may prefer their feet firmly on topsoil uncovering the story through a presentation and self-guided surface tour. Enjoying lunch here we then journey deeper into the pretty countryside. Prom Country Lodge | 4 nights
DAY 4 | WILSONS PROMONTORY CRUISE
Today is going to be a spectacular day! Winding our way through the Wilsons Promontory National Park, we arrive at Tidal River. Board Pennicott Wilderness Journey’s amphibious boat and cruise a rugged and raw coast like no other, marvelling at its prehistoric boulders. Become speechless by the iconic granite monolith that is Skull Rock. Sculpted by waves and surrounded by crystal blue waters, Skull Rock’s eerie facade becomes even more mysterious the closer we get. After an amazing morning cruising the inspiring coastline, we return to dry land where a welcoming picnic lunch awaits. Leaving Wilsons Promontory, we may like to explore the local town of Foster before returning to the Lodge.
DAY 5 | LOCALS AND THEIR PASSIONS
Today is all about the wonderful produce and fertile lands of South Gippsland. Situated on the hills overlooking the Tarwin River we visit Blue Tree Honey Farm. Get to know these busy bees and taste the sweetness they produce before a delightful Devonshire Tea. Afterwards, we visit Golden Creek Olives where our hosts introduce us to the exquisite aromas and flavours of their oils. Then nestled within a picturesque valley, we find Waratah Hills Vineyard. Be warmly greeted by Neil and Judy Travers and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere while getting to know them and their story. Enjoy lunch, tastings and the surrounding vale before heading out to meet a true Gippsland identity at Beloka Kelpies Stud. Paul Macphail has been breeding and training dogs since the early nineties and here you’ll get to witness him and his four-legged co-workers in action. From veterans to pups it will be a fun and intriguing afternoon. Thanking Paul, we then return to our hotel.
DAY 6 | HISTORIC PORT ALBERT
We have a fascinating day planned at the idyllic coastal fishing village. Along the way, we stop at the Welshpool Long Jetty, an iconic destination in the Prom Country. Stretching out to the waters of Corner Inlet, on a clear day it provides a great photo opportunity. Continuing to Port Albert we head to the Regional Maritime Museum for morning tea and a self-guided tour of its extensive collection. Afterwards, we are joined by a very passionate local. Warren Curry, a local artist in his own right, will enlighten us to the intriguing history on a sightseeing tour of Port Albert. Finishing at Wild Fish Restaurant we’ll enjoy freshly caught local fish for lunch before returning to Foster. Relax and refresh before a wonderful evening planned at Promontory Restaurant and Winery. Situated on what feels like the top of the world, you’ll enjoy expansive views and fine hospitality before returning to the Lodge. The perfect way to farewell this beautiful part of Gippsland.
DAY 7 | FOSTER TO HORSHAM
Thanking our hosts at the Prom Country Lodge this morning we begin the journey
home. Reaching the Ballarat, we stop to board the replica of the original Golden City Paddle Steamer. Cruise Lake Wendouree while enjoying lunch on board. Back on dry land, you may like to take a wander through the small museum that shows historical photograph’s, artefacts and records dating back to the late nineteenth century before hitting the road once more. Later this afternoon we arrive into Horsham to settle at our motel for the evening. Best Westlander Motel Horsham | 1 night
DAY 8 | HORSHAM TO PORT PIRIE
We have a travel day ahead of us as we make our way closer to home. Stopping for
convenience breaks and to enjoy our packed lunches, we pass the time by chatting amongst ourselves, reading a good book or watching the scenery roll by our windows. Later this afternoon we arrive at our motel in Port Pirie. John Pirie Motor Inn | 1 night
DAY 9 | HOMEWARD BOUND
Today we have an easy day of travel planned, getting us home in good time. Watching the scenery roll by we pass the morning reminiscing about the highlights of our trip.
