  • I would like to add my praise for the wonderful way in which the tour was organised. I too would like to say how safe I felt and the interaction between Kim and David and the tour group made every one feel at home. The fact that you booked us into other family businesses added to the feeling of "family" that was the signature of the trip. I will recommend your business whenever I get a chance and hope I can travel with you again.

  • I had a lovely holiday with all you fellow travellers, being a small group we got to know each other very well, even though some of us have known each other for many years but have reconnected! DAVID could make that bus dance and whirled us around all these mountains and corners in an amazing and very reassuring safe fashion. Thanks to you both, we just walked in to pre-arranged venues and received top treatment, with top meals and accommodation. I also liked the way you supported family owned businesses who you returned to. Fully recommended company!

This morning we head to the famous Queen Victoria Market. At this vast and vibrant centre of trade, you’ll spend time discovering the entertaining buskers, wonderful souvenirs and marvelling at the fresh produce of this celebrated market. We farewell Melbourne and travel to Ballarat, a town rich in history and culture. Here we explore the legacy of the gold rush which is still evident in the magnificent architecture and tree-lined streets. We visit the Eureka Centre, dedicated to the central theme of democracy. Located on the site where young miners bravely stood up for their rights in 1854, the centre explores the events surrounding the Eureka Stockade and has exhibitions including the Eureka Flag, donated by the widow of John King, a trooper who took part in the attack on the Eureka Stockade. Tonight, we will be heading to Sovereign Hill for dinner and new show. AURA tells the story of Gold throughout the ages; from its original formation and the Gold rush, to the enduring allure of Gold today. We will be instantly transported into an immersive multi-sensory experience as we are guided through pastoral settlements to the rich cultural tapestry of life on the goldfields. The experience will engage us on an enrapturing Sovereign Hill journey.
