Just relax at the Resort or perhaps an optional tour or flight.

21/8 Day 9 – Start with a breathtaking sunrise cruise of Yellow Water Billabong followed by breakfast then we will depart Cooinda with special memories and make our way to the Jumping Croc Cruise on the Adelaide River for some serious Crocodile action, then lunch before heading into Darwin. 5 nights Darwin

22/8 Day 10 – After a leisurely breakfast we visit the Darwin Harbour for Fish feeding then we shall visit the Darwin Museum for the Cyclone Tracy Exhibition to experience a touch of that fateful night. After the bombing in WW11 and Cyclone Tracy no wonder the Darwinites are such laid back and resilient people.
Later This afternoon will see us visiting the amazing MINDIL Markets for the Sights, sounds and tastes as well as the stunning sunset.
Purchase your dinner from one of the many food stalls while being entertained with music, Fire twirling and much more.
With all of our senses stimulated we return to our Hotel for a good nights sleep.

23/8 Day 11 – After breakfast A local Tour Guide joins us to show us the Highlights and tell us the local yarns for our morning tour.
This afternoon will see us visiting Stokes Wharf for the Military Museum Darwins war history is substantial and we will learn about it and we shall visit the RFDS Darwin base also.

24/8 Day 12 LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK
Today we have another highlight of our tour, we head to the Litchfield National Park.  Just 2 hours south of Darwin, Litchfield has gained the reputation as the jewel of the Northern Territory’s crown.  The 65,000ha National Park has untouched rainforests hot springs, magnificent waterfalls and stunning scenery.  There are some great photo opportunities and we stop to see the Magnetic anthills and the magnificent Florence Falls from the lookout platform.  We also stop at Wangi Falls for a walk and a refreshing dip! From Litchfield National Park we return to our hotel to freshen up for dinner.  Early evening, we join our Sunset Cruise.Hopefully, the incredible Darwin Harbour sunset will provide a fantastic photo opportunity and a memorable evening.

We say goodbye to Darwin and make our way to the Adelaide River War Cemetary then make our way to Katherine for the excellent Outback spectacular , a 2.5 hr show where we will see horses being broken in and working dogs as well as some Country music It’s fantastic!
Then Check into Knotts Crossing Resort for 2 nights.

27/8 DAY 15
After breakfast we Head to the Katherine Gorge for the
Nitmiluk 2 Gorge Cruise then lunch at your own expense in the Visitor Centre.
We then return to our Resort for a restful afternoon before meeting up for dinner.

After an early breakfast we farewell Knotts Crossing for a travel day with stops along the way – Daly Waters for lunch

9.30 AM AFTER BREAKFAST WE SHALL ENJOY A TOUR OF UMOONA OPAL MINE AND AN UNDERGROUND HOUSE THEN FOR A DRIVE AROUND COOBER PEDY WITH OUR GUIDE SHOWING US PLACES OF INTEREST WITH A LOCALS INSIGHT, AT THE TOURS CONCLUSION WE SHALL DEPART COOBER PEDY FOR ALICE SPRINGS, STOPPING ALONG THE WAY TO PURCHASE LUNCH AND REST STOPS.

DAY 3 – ALICE SPRINGS

TODAY WILL BE A FABULOUS DAY OF SIGHTSEEING WITH A TOUR OF THE TRANSPORT HALL OF FAME WHICH HOUSES THE LARGEST COLLECTION OF TRUCKS IN AUSTRALIA AND IS VERY INTERESTING.THEN ITS ONTO THE TELEGRAPH STATION FOR A GUIDED TOUR FOLLOWED BY LUNCH INCLUDED. OUR FINAL TOUR TODAY IS THE ROYAL FLYING DOCTORS TO LEARN FIRST HAND THE VITAL ROLE THEY PLAY IN THE VAST AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK (INC) THEN WE FINISH THE DAY OFF WITH A SUNSET VISIT TO ANZAC HILL TO TAKE IN THE PANORAMA OF ALICE SPRINGS AND THE MCDONNELL RANGES BEFORE RETURNING TO OUR

Day 4 – ALICE SPRINGS TO RENNER SPRINGS

THIS MORNING WE ASK THAT YOU BRING YOUR LUGGAGE DOWN TO THE COACH BEFORE BREAKFAST. TODAY WE TRAVEL THROUGH TO RENNER SPRINGS FOR OUR OVERNIGHT STAY. BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR EAGLES AND NT WILDLIFE.

DAY 5 – RENNER SPRINGS TO KNOTTS CROSSING RESORT

AFTER AN EARLY BREAKFAST WE WILL COMMENCE OUR JOURNEY TO THE LOVELY KNOTTS CROSSING RESORT OUTSIDE OF KATHERINE, HOWEVER FIRST NITMILUK 2 GORGE CRUISE (KATHERINE GORGE) JUST SPECTACULAR THEN BACK TO THE RESORT FOR MAYBE A SWIM BEFORE A

DAY 6 – KNOTTS CROSSING – DARWIN

Wednesday 15th July

WE CARRY ON OUR JOURNEY THIS MORNING, TRAVELLING TO THE ADELAIDE RIVER WAR CEMETERY DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR, ADELAIDE RIVER WAS THE HEADQUARTERS OF A LARGE BASE AND THE ADELAIDE RIVER WAR CEMETERY WAS CREATED ESPECIALLY FOR THE BURIAL OF SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN WHO DIED IN THIS PART OF AUSTRALIA.
ADELAIDE RIVER WAR CEMETERY WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1942 FOLLOWING THE BOMBING OF DARWIN. ADELAIDE RIVER WAR CEMETERY IS THE THIRD LARGEST WAR CEMETERY IN AUSTRALIA. 434 SERVICEMEN AND 54 CIVILIANS WHO WERE KILLED BY JAPANESE AIR-RAIDS IN DARWIN DURING WORLD WAR II WERE LAID TO REST HERE. DURING THE WAR, THE 107TH AUSTRALIAN GENERAL HOSPITAL AND 119TH AUSTRALIAN GENERAL HOSPITAL WERE SET UP AROUND ADELAIDE RIVER. AFTER TIME SPENT HERE AND MORNING TEA WE SHALL CARRY ON WITH THE SHORT DISTANCE TO DARWIN WHERE WE WILL CHECK INTO THE LOVELY

DAY 7 – DARWIN

Thursday 16th July

WE START OUR DAY OFF WITH A BUFFET BREAKFAST BEFORE MEETING OUR PERSONAL GUIDE FOR THE MORNING DARRYL, HE WILL SPEND 3 HOURS WITH US, SHOWING US THE HIGHLIGHTS OF DARWIN AND ENTERTAINING US WITH HIS STORIES AS WELL AS HIS INTERESTING DIALOGUE ON THE HISTORY OF DARWIN. FOLLOWING OUR MORNING TOUR WE SHALL BREAK FOR LUNCH BEFORE ALL ENJOYING A SELF GUIDED TOUR OF THE OIL STORAGE TUNNELS A UNIQUE PART OF DARWINS WW11 HISTORY. THEN A VISIT TO DARWINS MUSEUM TO SEE THE CYCLONE TRACY EXHIBIT WHERE WE WILL EXPERIENCE WHAT IT WAS LIKE FIRSTHAND ON THAT FATEFUL NIGHT. WE WILL THEN RETURN TO OUR RESORT FOR SOME FREE TIME – DARWIN MALL IS VERY CLOSE BY, AS IS THE WATERFRONT OR YOU MAY CHOOSE TO HAVE A SWIM AT THE RESORTS POOL OR PERHAPS A REST.
